The TPC116S1/TPC114S1/TPC112S1 are pincompatible 12-bit, 14-bit and 16-bit digital-to-analogconverter, these series product are single channel, lowpower, buffered voltage-out DACs and are guaranteedmonotonic by design. The devices use a precisionexternal reference applied through the high resistanceinput for rail-to-rail operation and low system powerconsumption.The TPC116S1/TPC114S1/TPC112S1 accepts a wide2.7V to 5.5V supply voltage range. The partsincorporate a power-on reset circuit to ensure that theDAC output powers up to 0 V and remains there until avalid write takes place. The parts contain apower-down feature that reduces the currentconsumption of the device to 400 nA at 5 V andprovides software-selectable output loads while inpower-down mode. The power consumption is 0.45mW at 5 V, reducing to 1μW in power-down mode.The TPC116S1/TPC114S1/TPC112S1 on-chipprecision output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swingto be achieved. For remote sensing applications, theoutput amplifier’s inverting input is available to the user.The TPC116S1/TPC114S1/TPC112S1 use a versatile3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to30 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™,MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards.The TPC116S1/TPC114S1/TPC112S1 are available inan small size 8-pin MSOP package, all package arespecified over the -40°C to +125°C extended industrialtemperature range.
