The TPV710 is a watchdog timer circuit which preventssystem failures caused by certain types of hardware errorsor software errors.The TPV710 watchdog timer circuit has an input, WDI,and output WDO. The input is used to clear theinternal watchdog timer periodically within the specifiedtimeout period tWD. While the system operates correctly, itperiodically toggles the watchdog input, WDI. If the systemfails, the watchdog timer is not reset, and the watchdogoutput, WDO, is asserted.The TPV710 has an enable input, EN, which can enable ordisable the watchdog functionality. The EN is connected tothe internal pull-down resistor. The device is enabled if theEN pin is left floating.The TPV710 is available in SOT23-5 and SC70-5packages. The TPV710 with SOT23-5 package is autograde 1 qualified. The TPV710 with SC70-5 is industrygrade. The operation temperature range is -40℃ to 125℃.
